So Why Have I Been AWOL?

I realized it’s been over a month since my last post, and let me tell you – things got a bit crazy on my end.

We’ve finally closed in on a house, which means it’s time to move again. But before that, a lot of renovations have to take place. The past month has been spent running around stores, comparing prices, shopping, selling, and creating things for the new place. It’s a lovely little bungalow, by the way, and we’re pretty happy with it so far. This will be the last week moving since we have to be out of our apartment by Thursday, and on Friday… I’ll be taking a day trip to San Diego to pick up my new puppy!

Yes, I finally am getting a puppy, after 5 years, and over a year of cats galore. As you very well know, there WILL be postings of her all over here – which will prompt my new category of just our pets, “Furfuracious!”

Besides those, I’ve been working on my sewing prowess (which lay dormant and dusty). My Halloween costume is almost halfway done, and posts will be up when it’s ready.

I also just finished my JPMS Gathering show a couple weeks ago, and my hair is short – and I mean buzzed short, and very brightly orange. Ah, things we do for passions.

Long (Busy) Weekend

RAW Vegas, baby! My cousin drove in today from Vallejo for a birthday weekend, and between trying to check them in to Polo Towers (don’t suggest it by the way), and running to hair and make-up in Mandalay Bay, and practice at the Act venue, I was in dire need of a drink by 6 pm. But the make up and hair looked dope!

I’ll be posting the rest of those show photos as they come, but for now, these will have to do.

After the show, Joe and I had to check into the Excalibur for my cousin, and when my drunk darling finally settled in, it was past 2 in the morning. We went home, cleaned, talked to Shawnz and his “strike one”. A late night, but it’s part of life.

Nothing crazy today – just went shopping for some food. But Joe did make me some amazing dinner… a candle light dinner in fact!

Some seafood pasta, bread, cookies for dessert, I think I’m in love.

It was the day of dinner with our dear visitors. and although we never got photos, that mostly because it was a rush. A quick drink later, and the day ends… until after midnight for our friend Patrick’s 21st birthday at McMullan’s Irish Pub. Good friends, food and alcohol. Joe here, is with his high school buddy Jonathan (Afro-man).

Sleeping in wasn’t the greatest idea for today, nightmares and nightmares galore. Cousin left today, came to see Aida, went to CJ’s, then to see the boyfriend. I’m finally home, watching Bones once again. I think it’s high time to go to bed.

Funky Day

Where to start?! Today was definitely fun-filled.

I had a modeling practice today for Rustic Knitts, who will be showcasing at RAW Vegas this Thursday at the Act. Their design concept is simple, and extremely cool – jewelry made from chains and bullets! Who knew that rocked?

Anyway, right afterward, I headed off to my weekly pool night with Aida. It was a pretty fairly matched game, 4-3 in my favour. I swear, she’s getting better every time.

It was nearing 11:30 pm at that point, and we decided to crash CJ’s house once again. Being Tuesday, we knew it was dodgeball night and that they’d only be getting home. Once we got the okay, we grabbed our hookah and made our way to their place.

Now I should say, we LOVE playing with hookah smoke. Call us childish, but it’s extremely cool to push the boundaries of what you can do with it. We recently came up with the idea of using bubbles, and a couple hits later, here’s what happened: (will open new tab) .
